We know that our Army is the best in the world so we are'nt worried about Austria or Serbia because we know we are going to win. We have to help out Russia because they would help out us if we were in their situation.
When the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria Hungary was assisinated, it hurt their country and ours very badly. I was very upset and so were our leaders and thats why we backed them up. We werent going to let the country who just got their leader assisinated not have anybody helping them in the war. If that was my country i would hope somebody would of done the same. As a young boy i watched my country compete with others to be the best navy in the world and now that we are competing to get a country, it just reminds me so much as when i was a kid. And also having tentions in Europe seems like a war may start very soon. Our Chancellor promises to be strong in industry and war, but our rivals Britin was under industrial fire. We would see how all this played out in our favor.
WEEK 2,
My Country Germany has a weapon that no others have and we feel that our battle plan is the best than any other countries. Our country has the U-boats and the submarines. These two inventions will give us the edge underwater because they can stay under for decent periods of time and other countrys wouldnt be able to find us. It makes us a very dangerous threat in this war. Our battle plan sounds complicated but its actually pretty simple, its called the Schlieffen Plan. We knew that Italy and Brittan wanted to remain neutral and uncommited and after Italy announced that they were, it was time for us to make Brittans decision for them. The Plan resulted in us having to take our armies through Belgium, then swing south behind French lines. On Augest 3rd, we will invade Belgium. The only people that would get mad about this siuation will be Brittian because we all signed a treaty stateing that Belgium was neutral. But who cares, now Brittain can stop acting like babies and fight for once.

I believe coming from a soldiers stand point, that this poster means alot of pride in our country and in our armies. I believe that in this picture it really shows the pride that our country has and how powerful our armies are. I think that the techniques it uses is Nationlism and hopefully it will get more German men and women to respect our armies like we do and join our armies. More people would never hurt in our powerful armies.
Our troops and civilians were in panic mood shortly after all this madness happend. We had 15 year olds coming to join the troops in war, long casuality lists, low food supply, and riots occured alot. The war hit Russia reall hard, and on March 1917, bread riots started in St. Petersburg and it brought down the Russian Monarchy. Later that year however, V.I Lenin came to power, he promised to Brest-Litovsk with Germany. This treaty brought peace to my country.
Week 3, Christmas Break
After all the drama and violence that has happended so far with my country Germany, im so happy that Christmas is here so i can go home for a little to see my family. I arrived shortly after the break started and got to my house the night before Christmas to eat dinner with my family and catch up on some things that I have missed. I missed my mother and my father dearly while i was gone away at war and happy that I am getting to see them this year. I feel bad for many of the soldiers that didnt go home to see their families because they didnt have the money to get back to there home and back to our stations. I guess they will just have to write to there families instead of going to see them.

On June 1919, we were summoned to the palace of Versailles outside of Paris, and was ordered to sign the treaty drawn up by our allies saying that we had to take full blame for the war. It put our already slumped economy now even to the lowest of bankruptsy as we had to cover all reparation costs and would cost up to 30 billion dollars! It also limited the size of our powerful military and removed hundereds of square miles from western and eastern Germany, and stripped away our over seas colonies. The Treaty of Versailles hurt my country Germany to an unbelievable amount because we got blammed for appsolutly everything. Shortly after the war, I came home to catch up with my mother,father,wife and 2 month old baby. Its kinda hard coming back to a normal life after doing 5 years in the war, but i could get used to it. The economy is still very low and we are still trying to bounce back from all the reparation costs. I have a feeling that in a decade or so, that we will have our hands on another bigger, more important war.
